Dr. Iván Martínez-Ortiz works as Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (DSIA) at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He has been Tenured Lecturer (2007-2011) in the Computer Science School at UCM and Lecturer (2004-2007) in the Computer Science School at the Centro de Estudios Superiores Felipe II (Aranjuez, Spain). He received a Bachelor in Computer Science (first in the Dean’s List “premio extraordinario”) and a Master and PhD in Computer Science from the UCM. His research interests include e-learning technologies and the integration of educational modeling languages, serious games and e-learning standardization. He has contributed more than 40 academic publications in topics related to games based learning and technology enhanced learning. He is part of the e-learning CTN71/SC36 technical committee under the Spanish Standard Organization AENOR.
