Alma G. Barrera Yáñez received a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (México) in 2013. Five years later, she completed the Master in Digital Humanities in Universidad Pablo de Olavide (España) in 2018, delivering as her Master Thesis: “Sevilla TourGame”, a serious game intended to help in the history learning process. She has developed school programs for regular and technical education, besides diplomas for different educational institutions, such as Artek and Universidad Tecnológica de México . She won the Fundación Carolina scholarship in 2019, which allowed her to start a PhD in Computer Science. In 2020 she became a member of the e-UCM research group in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). Her research interests include e-learning, teaching methods, educational software developing and topics about STEM.
